The app is called REC (not a very good name to be searchable 🙈). Here you can find it: crsp.li/recapp And my video about it is: ruclips.net/video/xiL4Tpx-Z_I/видео.html
If I use this tentacle sync studio program and change my ProRes 422 video files to xml files and export to a MacBook for editing with Final Cut Pro will I still be able to take advantage of the ProRes encoders in the MacBook or will I be editing a xml file in Final Cut Pro?
XML files are just metadata. You'll still edit the ProRes 422 files. The XML file is merely a timeline which includes all the synchronized clips, which will still reference the ProRes original media.
Great video. Would you know how to take a Track E file, which only has File TC and make it go to Audio TC? I don't want to add all the video, I just want to utilize the timecode from the Track E and then sync everything in Resolve. Right now Resolve cannot see the File TC. Thanks for your thoughts!
That’s strange that Resolve can not see the file TC. In my tests it was able to see the File TC. Actually it should be the other way around: With resolve you can read the audio TC and update the meta data with that so that all files have meta data TC.
Any ideas why when I export as media when just embedding the audio to metadata timecode it never mutes the audio timecode? I have tried with media and XML, the audio timecode is never muted. Also was curious why when I embed the timecode and dont change any of the file formats it changes the mp4 to mov. Dont really care but was curious why that is
@@ChrisSpiegl Thanks for the response Chris! How do you do use the multicam feature after you import the xml? When I import I have the sync'd sequence. Is there a way to turn that into a multicam sequence ?
@@wetheunruly You can drag the Imported Sequence into another Sequence and then right click and go to Multi-Cam Sequence and enable it. Then you can switch between them camera angles.
Hi, is it possible to push time (as timecode) from your mac to a NINVA V? My use case: I use scree nrecordings that need to sync up with the recordings on my NINJA V. Until now I need to set the time manually on my NINJA V manually. There is a >1sec difference which is fine for my workflow but it really gets annoying doing this every single time because the time on my NINJA V will have a higher gap with my mac in just a couple of hours. Thanks for the video.
You could try using this app: help.millumin.com/?page=22_lab_application/timecodeclock This way you can output a Timecode signal via your headphone jack and record that into the mic input on the Ninja V.
Usually you can still sync it all in post. One thing to note in that case though is to try to make sure the Timecode FPS are all set the same. So for example: Timecode FPS on all devices is set to 23.97 One Camera shooting 60fps, the other shooting 23.97 Then everything will sync to the Timecode and you should be able to just work with that.
Assuming you mean "Software Development Engineer", I am not. I have been programming pretty much since I was 8 or 9 years old and later studied computer science, however, my work is mostly not as an Engineer or Programmer. I still love to get into it though and often program my own tools, services, and automations. Some of which I plan to release soon.
Amazing video, so clear and detailed. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Great video! This was very helpful, man!
Glad it helped!
Thankyou for this information, really helped me in my job.
Great to hear!
What is the iPhone time code app you mentioned? Can’t find it anywhere. And when might you make the video about it?

@@ChrisSpiegl It's not only REC, because you can't find it with that, but you can find it with the name: "REC - Pro Video Camera"

After you import an xml file to Premiere, can you then use the multicam feature in Premiere ?
Yes

What if the audio FPS and the video FPS are different. Will it still sync in the tentacle sync studio?
